Angelina is the main character of the animation “On hold” and represents a black and immigrant Angolan woman who has lived in Brazil for some years with her young children.

Although it is fictional, Angelina’s story is similar to that of several Angolan women who arrived in São Paulo in recent years with small children and/or pregnant. Why did they leave their country? How and why did they come to Brazil? Who are they? The video invites you to learn more about the migration history of these women.
